Honey Harvest
Discovered the hive on its side a few weeks ago, so I decided to let the bees calm down a bit before harvesting the honey. I took one full super off and returned after a week (yesterday) for the second. The area is a woodland nature reserve with little in the way of farming nearby. The wooded area is mainly pines. Having taken the supers off the bees need feeding as Ive taken their honey, the white round thing is a top feeder which is then filled with sugar water. The bees then collect this and store it in their brood box.
